    (verified owner):

I have listened to many Joe Frank stories over the years, both live and over the radio, and this remains my favorite to date. I don’t want to ruin it for anyone who hasn’t yet heard it, but it’s about his trip to K2. Even if you’ve never gone on a mountaineering expedition (or perhaps just really bad drug trip,) you will find some pretty great story telling in this one.

This is the one I keep coming back to. The transcendent image at the end of the first part of this – of his parents dancing in the rain, and the narrator, as a child, observing them – continues to move and haunt me each time I listen. And the music selections and augmentations are spot on. Brilliant.

Also one of my favorites. I have listened to this one dozens of times, yet I never get tired of it. What a great storyteller and yarn-spinner Joe was!
